DeWalt Speed / Rafter Square

Often known as a speed square, this is one of those tools like the Fatmax tape that I genuinely wonder why I didn’t get one years ago. It has a huge amount of functions for roofing work and in honesty I’ve never used them. Search “Speed square” on YouTube to see what I mean. But that said I’ve used it constantly since I got it a few years back, mainly because of the lip along one edge that is so easy to hold firmly against the edge of a piece of wood and it doesn’t tip over and move as soon as you let it go like a carpenters, engineers or combination square can. Also the chances of it losing it’s accuracy when you drop it off a wall are far less than a lot of other squares.

So I’d get another one tomorrow, in fact one of my next purchases will be the 12” version.
