Ryobi RMT1801M One+ Multi Tool

What can it do? Should you buy one?

Multi tool (or oscillating tool), a tool with a blade mount on the end that turns back and forth a few degrees very quickly. This means that any blade on the mount will move back and forth very quickly by a small amount (say around 5mm or 1/4 inch).

You can get many many different types of blade for cutting or sanding many different materials.

They‘re good for small cuts in confined areas and close to corners. Also for cutting through things like boards and plasterboard when you can’t get to the back of the board. Typical uses are cutting traditional floorboards for access into floor voids, cutting electrical back boxes into plasterboard. Also detail sanding with a sanding head.

The one I use is a Ryobi RMT1800, it’s my own one in the picture.

Note: It doesn't necessarily come with all the addons shown in the picture. I'm just showing what you can get with it. Also most battery tools are sold as "Bare" which means NO BATTERY so you may need to buy the battery (and charger) separately
